We are currently hiring for the following positions:
Job Title: Family Ministries Education Director
Summary: inSpirit Church seeks a full-time, energetic, faith-filled leader (or two part-time leaders) that can connect the “Orange” Christian educational strategy with a Church Family-wide curriculum. Excellent communication skills and proactive leadership will enable this candidate to engage the supporting Church Family in a practical Christian education that develops students into authentic Christ-followers that exhibit the fruits of the Spirit in all facets of life. The candidate’s focus should be on implementation of curriculum across children, youth, and young people with the support of volunteer teachers while personally focusing on the direct teaching and mentoring of middle and high school students.
Essential Functions:
– Oversee the entirety of our Family Ministries from Nursery to Young Adults
– Lead the Middle and High School youth groups
– Adapt curriculum for the needs of our ministries
– Recruit and equip volunteers to teach and lead small groups for our pre-K, elementary and pre-teen ministries
– Set up and tear down classroom settings to coincide with lessons
– Plan and lead a Middle and High School Fall retreat
– Develop relationships with families and their children, young people and young adults in and outside of church gatherings
– Partner (encourage, provide resources, support, etc.) with the parents of our children and youth to assist them in their role as primary discipling of their kids
– Lead monthly Orange Team meetings to develop and implement educational goals
– Work alongside of the Lead Pastor, Ministry Team, and other supporting staff to integrate the Orange strategy throughout the Church Family
– Prepare, present and manage annual budgets with and for the Finance team
– Plan a yearly calendar with all youth and children’s ministry activities including lesson topics, retreats, fundraisers, fun events, volunteer appreciation and the annual High School Summer mission trip
– Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings
– Ensure all environments follow appropriate safe church/healthy church protocols
Qualifications:
– A devoted follower of Jesus who seeks to reflect the love of Christ to all and is committed to deepening their relationship with Him through spiritual practices.
– Working knowledge of, ability to integrate, and submission to theological, doctrinal & missional standards of inSpirit Church as part of the Christian Reformed Church (CRCNA)
– Committed to active membership and congregational life at inSpirit Church
– Ability to speak publicly and communicate with excitement and enthusiasm, ensuring that others understand how their efforts fit in and affect the success of the ministry
– Ability to connect with, establish, and maintain meaningful relationships with volunteers, students & parents, church family members, and staff.
– Proficient with basic computer software
– Education and experience in applicable field desired
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Pastor and communicates regularly with a Ministry Team representative
Salary and Benefits:
